On the catwalk, women dressed in robe dresses and enveloping coats that are reminiscent of the 50s Dior models; little dresses with leather inserts on the bust that bring to mind Yves Saint Laurent; and, finally, corolla trench coats with maxi belts that resemble haute couture sketches. A collection that starts out sweetly and slowly gains in fullness, texture, and seduction: strapless dresses with cuts, inserts, and draped fabrics that shape geometric figures and confer balance, purity, and style for a new elegance.

Famous for its 18th-century terraced garden, the Villa Gamberaia (the location of the show) was purchased in 1895 by Princess Jeanne Ghyka, sister of Queen Natalia of Serbia, who lived here with her American companion, Miss Blood.
