Designer We Love Aber Gazzi

Aber Gazzi is a knitwear designer and an Artist who is proud to be half blind. She is a British designer based in Milan. She holds a degree in Knitwear from London College of Fashion and a Master of Womenswear from Polimoda in Florence. She has collaborated with designers such as Julian McDonald, Pierantonio Gaspari and many more.

Aber Gazzi was known as Bar Bar & Val Val in 2006. Both were up-and-coming young designers presenting and selling their work in London. With time Bar Bar & Val Val went in different directions.

Aber Gazzi moved to Italy to continue her label “Aber Gazzi”. She has presented her work in many venues in Milan and in the Skybox Italia (the protagonist was Lion di Lernia). Also in Paris and London she has presented her work during the men’s fashion week, Fuorisalone in Milan and in PARIS FASHION SHOWROOM® - the new event by PRET A PORTER PARIS®. Now the Aber Gazzi designs are being sold in Milan.

Aber Gazzi is a designer who studies people from different sizes and heights and the way they look at life, what they have in their mind and, but most of all their body language. That’s how she gets most of her influences. She believes that one’s body ought to control a garment instead of the other way around. That’s how she invents most of the shapes of her garments, pushing the wearer to control it.

Aber made a unique Sunglasses that was named "SunGazzi" , for being visually impaired and having to wear dark glasses 24 hours 24; she thought if she can't wear makeup eyes like all the other women, she still can create her own glasses. Aber Gazzi Said "In life, you can turn any problem into something beautiful."
