Cute item tour through the Daiso

Good morning everyone! Isn't it strange when I post now, that's how I feel, I never thought the day would come when blogging felt like this. I mean rather than being a habit as it was before, now it's some sort of one-off and it feels strange. My whole life feels strange now, I've gone back to the sort of life I had several years ago and everything I did/loved during the course of this blog has disappeared from my life.

I haven't traveled to Japan for 7 months, it's the longest amount of time between a Japan Trip for the past three years. I'm not taking photos for any new Japan related posts, but I want to keep writing about Japan so it may be soon enough I don't have any more post fodder. Until then I hope you enjoy these posts.


The Daiso carries a large range of 100 yen cosmetics actually (they are already known for their 100 yen eyelashes) but you can also make some cheap manicures too!

The Daiso is a store that I have written about several times before. (Cute on the Cheap and Shopping at Jam Pixy and Daiso) This post will include more fun photos tho!

Due to the Daiso being a place where you can find all sort of fun and crazy items for just 100 yen, and it expanding to a worldwide company it has become rather well known. But that doesn't mean there's not always something interesting to show about this 100 yen shop!


The Daiso also carries lots of cute bento, a great way to build a large bento collection!

In Ichinoe, where I have stayed during my last 4 trips, there is a Daiso. It was a bit of a walk from the apartment at around 20 minutes one way, but it was really nice to have it within walking distance. Feeling bored? Need something to clean or organize? Just head over to the Daiso haha. Of course it's a great place to pick up cute or silly things, good for souvenirs!

Daiso also has tons of yummy snacks, including "impulse buys" around the register in case you forget you need some gummis


The Daiso also has a discount Purikura machine, it's an older model but only 200yen. The 10-13 year olds around town liked to use this!

The sad thing is now that Daiso was to be closed at the end of last summer. Since I haven't returned I'm not sure if it did close or what the fate of that particular Daiso is. I wonder what other things have changed there in these past 7 months, will I go there again? Whenever I write these Japan posts (finally DX) I feel as if I ought to be there in a way.

Well my goal in life is to change my entire life haha. I want to get back into the life I was leading before Christmas - including losing weight, blogging everyday, dressing nicely and traveling. I will try to blog everyday this week so I can start changing my habits. I do actually have a new job now (not that it's good or I like it) but perhaps the structure will help haha.

I'm also going to try and catch up on replying (since I haven't....)

+ Photo Post + Around Ichinoe again

Hello everyone who is still there! I don't think it's appropriate to mention my lack of posts, motivation, fashion etc again. Saying things over and over without doing anything to fix them is really a pointless endeavor, and something I do so often irl that annoys people. All I can say, is I am here and posting now, and hopefully you will enjoy it.

I am starting a "series" for posts that contain many photos but not much information or a writeup to go with it. I think it will be better for organization, and there will be a new tag for this series. I honestly don't see myself doing fashion related posts for quite some time (physically I just can't do it, and I have moved onto other hobbies recently). Though I will still do some beauty posts.

So I've decided just focus on Japan and travel posts (perhaps daily life too, if I do anything of interest). There are lots of great fashion blogs, and girls who explain/do gal fashion better than me. But atleast with Japan/Travel I may be able to offer a unique viewpoint.

Today I would like to share some more photos from around Ichinoe, the town in Tokyo which I have stayed in for the last 4 trips. If I return to Japan, it will be where I stay again. As such, it gives me a chance to really explore this one spot and see interesting small points and details.

Ichinoe is not a larger city in Tokyo, like all those touristy places one thinks of, it's not an upscale residential area. It's part of Edogawa-ku, which has the highest population of children versus the other wards, so it's quite a familial sort of suburb.


Ok how can I not say something funny about this? Goku doing his power up on a drink can with the name "Power Squash"?? I wonder if it tastes like a gourd and makes you go Super Saiyan XDD


I often see playgrounds placed under bridges and overhead passes (a bit depressing honestly) This rainbow slide is quite cute except for the creepy man in the cloud...

As I look over these photos I wonder if I will return. For all my teen years it had always been a given in my mind I would spend my early adult life in Tokyo. But now I've had chances to experience it, that is not such a given. What can I gain from living in Tokyo, that can't be gained from my extended length travels?


Seeing this advert in the summer time made me a bit desperate haha!


I found a nail and eyelash salon nearby too, I wonder what their work is like!

Actually I think I was able to capture some interesting things in this Photo Post, especially the foundation of the new house. I imagine there is a family living comfortably there now!

The hobbies I'm into lately are really tied to the US (even in regards to fashion I can get things I like here). How would I handle living as an outsider always, or having quite limited job opportunities? Perhaps there will be a pandemic this year and I won't have to worry about the future haha

I didn't mean to get all thoughtful like that, but just seeing these sorts of photos makes me want to talk abut my problems. Well I'm gonna get some Disney photos going ASAP XD

A pup in a raincoat and other pics!

Good evening again! I think I'm doing pretty well just posting every other day now, perhaps soon I can upgrade to everyday again haha. I still don't have many ideas, but after I get some chores done this weekend I can work on brain storming and editing photos. Does anyone else find editing photos to be the least fun part of blogging? XDD

Today's post is nothing earth shattering in greatness, but I'm hoping it will just be something enjoyable to look at for a bit. I'm going to post up the rest of the photos I took in Den-en-chofu that didn't fit with the grand houses. Though there is not much to do there, they have some nice parks.

But first, this dog!



It was raining that day, and his owner dressed him up to the nines in the finest rainwear and bonnet haha! I'm surprised there weren't matching booties too to keep his tootsies warm XD Naturally animals get wet when it rains, but I suppose its nice for the dog not to get cold. Plus no wet dog smell later!!

It was also nice to see a large dog, as most people have tiny designer dogs. I saw this pup while visiting a garden, so I will share the garden photos as well. It was very peaceful, but I'm sure lovelier in dry weather ^^/








I wonder what those pavers at the bottom are for?





What I found most intriguing about this particular garden park was the wild feeling of it. Though there was a design structure to it, it felt as it was just a natural forest in the middle of a residential area. Indeed, when inside the park you couldn't tell there were homes all around. It would be so nice to have a park like this by my house!

Since this post is a bit all over the place, lets make it a bit more random even. A main place to eat in Den-en-chofu is the McDonalds near the station, at the time they had Pokemon toys, so I snapped a pic!



I hope there's still some Pokemon fans out there! Honestly I didn't recognize these characters, but now they are showing the seasons with these characters here XD

Den-en-chofu, Finding fancy homes in Tokyo!

Good day everyone! This weekend was not fruitful for blogging at all was it? Well atleast not for me haha... TT Saturday I was busy all day helping my mom re-do her room, new paint and furniture, but yesterday I have no excuse haha! I guess I shouldn't laugh as it was basically a bad day, but it's better to laugh ^_~

Anyway! Today is a Japan post, we finished up my Japan Trip 7 posts and now we can pick up with some new Japan Trip 8 writeups. JT8 was really hard on me, I had heat exhaustion, bad home sickness and general ennui (Ennui is a fab word). So I didn't get out and do much, but there were some great experiences, and here is one of them!

My friend in Japan, whom I stay with, is a very kind person and he shows this by always trying to find new places/activities to take me to in Tokyo. On that particular day he though of Den-en-chofu: a residential area known for big homes occupied by TV and sports etc stars.

Den-en-chofu is not a big glitzy shopping area, though it does have a few shops and a McDonalds around the station, it is a very visually lovely place. It also has some attractive parks, but the main attraction for visitors is the large (for Japan) homes and homes with interesting features.

It would be an interesting as a side stop while visiting Jiyugaoka (which is the next stop on the Tōkyu Tōyoko Line). If you come from a country like the USA you won't be impressed by the size or scope of the houses, but it is interesting to see what is considered to be a fancy home in Japan.

Den-en-chofu has a quiet atmosphere, so its a nice place for a stroll. The day I went was drizzling and generally uncomfortable so it wasn't a great stroll, make sure to go on a dry/day XD

As I said earlier there isn't shopping or other attractions in Den-en-chofu, it's a place you could enjoy for a couple hours if you are in the area, or have been to many of the obvious tourist spots already.

Cat Cafe Nekorobi kitty picspam

Good evening friends, hi again! I am still rather low on post ideas as I can't start doing what I'd like to do with this blog, but I thought it's about time to officially finish writing about Japan Trip 7. Which happened over a year ago already! But now that this is the last post about that trip, it means I need to start editing Japan Trip 8 photos DX haha

I didn't do so much during JT7, because of the big gyaru meet I held and my Grandpa's passing, and the last thing I did apparently was to visit the Cat Cafe Nekorobi again. I introduced Nekorobi, located in Ikebukuro, in this previous post!

In that past post I talked about the payment structure and appearance of the cafe itself, so this time I will just spam some cuteness.

What I have observed in visiting several Cat Cafes, is the cats tend to be rather sleepy and aloof. But that's really just natural for cats haha. I have been to one cafe with a couple defensive cats, but in Nekorobi the cats are all very tolerant of the attention.

Half way through this visit to Cat Cafe Nekorobi they turned the light low, I guess to give the cats a chance to wind down and relax. Perhaps to get ready for sleeping? It was very interesting to experience something I've done already in a new way, and was relaxing for the customers as well!

I really like Cat Cafe Nekorobi - they have a small and cozy atmosphere without being too claustrophobic. And they also offer drinks and small cookies with the admission price. There are so many frenetic and hyper-stimulating things to see/do in Tokyo, so I really recommend visiting a cat cafe!! It's relaxing, interactive (with cats and other customers), and it's something unique.
