Sunday Round Up......

Evenin' my lovelies!

Just dropping in and giving you all a little hello!

I've had a right busy week, on Monday I popped out for an evening at the theatre, how many of you remember Birds of a Feather? I know right! The 3 main cast members have gotten back together to do a tour and I have to say, they were as fabulous as ever, the original Essex girls as far as I'm concerned, gimme Chigwell over Towie any day! I mean check out that fabulous 80's style, Dorien gimme that hot pink blazer, NOW!

Tuesday I headed out for yummy munch at Miller & Carter with my lovely boys and girls from work, much wine and birthday cake was consumed and I went to work on Wednesday feeling rather worse for wear but enjoyed every minute and on Wednesday evening I had some lovely friends over for nails and gossip.

My main killer this past week has been the fact that it has been dress down ALL WEEK at work! Now, don't get me wrong, I have a ginormous wardrobe bursting to the brim with clothes, but the moment you ask me to choose a different outfit everyday I am totally bazingered! But I did notice something, I am a full on creature of habit and I am a total sucker for 3 classic trends, nautical, leopard print and florals. Every outfit has consisted of one of those trends I wish I had taken pictures but alas, I am a little bit camera shy at the moment, I had my hair extensions taken out last week and I am just getting used to my face without my long locks, feeling like a right munter!

Other things I have been upto just recently are......

Hanging around awesome market stalls eyeing up cute jewellery.....

Buying awesome new items from New Look Inspire & ASOS Curve.....

New Look Inspire

ASOS Curve

Scouring the t'interweb for my perfect pair of Converse......

Receiving awesome items to try out for my reviews week from Simply Be and Chubby Cartwheels.....

Playing far too much 'Draw Something' and realising I cannot draw for shiz, if you want to have a laugh at my lack of artistic talent, my username is naomi_griffiths....

Trying desperately to find the perfect outfit to head down to Evans HQ tomorrow for the preview of 'Swan' by Clements Ribeiro......

Getting excited over heading over to Sutton Coldfield Vintage & Arts Fair next weekend.....

So keep checking back and I should have some interesting things to talk to you about v.soon!

GlossyBox Valentines Day Edition

Mornin' Lovelies!

I was sent a GlossyBox to review a couple of months ago, and was thrilled to have a Valentines Limited Edition box drop on my doorstep recently full of lots of goodies! Great little pick me up!

I have a lot of love for GlossyBox, I think they're a right good girly treat for some epic pampering fabulousness! Each month a new box turns up with some great new products to try out, like I've said before, if you are on a bit of a budget and want a little pick me up treat the GlossyBox concept is great for just £10 per month (plus p+p) you can have a little treasure chest of loveliness!

I was quite impressed with the Valentines Day Edition, included was an Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner in Powder Pink, a Murad primer, a First Aid Beauty (FAB) body wash and a Davines Moisturising Balm and Cleansing Nectar.

Murad Primer

Davines Cleansing Nectar

I am yet to try out the Davines cleanser or the Murad primer, but I have given the Eyeko liner, Davines balm and the FAB body wash a try.

The Eyeko liner is in Powder Pink, it's a great shade to go with this seasons pastel trend but I have to admit, it's not really a colour I found I could do much with. I gave it a go but ended up using it on the inner corners of my eyes just to lighten them up a bit, maybe it's my lack of makeup artistry skills or this colour just doesn't work for me? The pencil itself is great, a lovely soft, sturdy liner, I will definitely be looking into buying shades more suited to me from the brand. I wasn't familiar with Eyeko but now I am I shall be having a delve into what else they offer.

Eyeko Powder Pink Skinny liner

The Davines items are really interesting as they are multi-purpose and designed to work on face, body and hair. My first thoughts were that they would be perfect for traveling as you have multi use essentials to save on carrying a million different little pots and containers. The balm is particularly nice, I have had really dry hands just recently and used a spot of it to try and perk them up a bit. A little bit goes a long way and the smell is fabulous, they are also made from nearly 100% all natural ingredients, definitely a great little treat!

Davines Moisturising Balm

And lastly I gave the First Aid Beauty body wash a go. I have had a hell of a cold just recently which has left my skin very dry and chapped around my nose. The wash was really gentle and wasn't overpowered with a tarty scent like a lot of facial washes, it has definitely relieved my skin of some of the redness that it had which is good and has left it feeling super clean. A full size bottle is between £10.00 and £13.00 dependent on where you pick it up from, which I don't feel is a bad price at all for a good wash if it works well for you. This is why something like GlossyBox is a great idea, you get to give things a try for a very small price!

Glossy are also running a Valentines Day competition at the moment to win a trip for 2 to Paris! Head over to the GlossyBox Facebook page to enter there's only a short time left to be in it to win it!

Big Love!

GlossyBox!

Evenin' Lovelies!

How are we all today? I have just got home from a super long day at work, its tough at the moment but I'm getting through (just about!), but I have just walked in the door and before even sitting down my eyes fell upon the GlossyBox sat on my kitchen counter that Mr Postman has delivered for me today! YAY!

The lovely peoples over at the GlossyBox team very kindly offered to send me a box to review and well, I jumped at the chance! Now, as you know, I do lik
e to delve into the odd bit of beauty blogging, being a massive girly girl and a fan of lotions, potions and new remedies to try so it was only right to give it a go! I have received October's box which includes:
  • Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Thermafoliant
  • Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Power Recover Masque
  • Leighton Denny Expert Nails, Nail Polish
  • Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner
  • Robert Piguet Eau De Parfums
  • Dermalogica Ager Smart Renewal Lip Complex (With beauty bag)
I have to say I really love this box and I love the GlossyBox concept. For £10 a month you can be delivered 5 trial size luxury items to play with! For me, I have always wanted to try Dermalogica but haven't really had the cash to splash out on a full size item at the drop of a hat without knowing if it works for me or not, so this is perfect. If I like the item I can go and purchase it either via the GlossyBox website or elsewhere, everyone's a winner! I have even discovered brands I hadn't heard of, like Leighton Denny (yeh I know, where have I been?!).

As you can see the box arrived beautifully packaged in a lovely gift box, tissue covered inside all tied up with a little pink ribbon, really luxurious and perfect if you wanted to get one of these as a gift for somebody, I know I would be really pleased to receive one!
(Hint hint lads!). I was thinking about the gift subscriptions for this and have just tweeted the GlossyBox team suggesting that maybe they could look into offering gift vouchers as part of a gift subscription package so if you were lucky enough to receive a box and found something you loved, you could go and treat yourself with the vouchers received too! But this is just an idea I have thrown at them.....who knows aye!? They also have a rewards scheme going on, where you can earn 'GlossyDots' which you can collect to get yourself a free box, friend recommendations and reviewing products will earn your dots and get you on your way to a freebie!

I am yet to try the items, but am very much looking forward to giving them a go, but I do definitely recommend checking them out and seeing if it's for you! I would love to hear your thoughts! So, go go go!

P.S theres also a quarterly GlossyBox offered for all you metrosexual males!

BIG LOVE!
XOXOXOX
