APRE IL LAB DI MODAVERA: SPAZIO FISICO E VIRTUALE PER SVILUPPARE

A Milano, ogni primo giovedi del mese, si ritrovano giovani talenti per discutere di progetti comuni nel campo della moda, con l’obiettivo di dare vita a un effettivo marketplace che sfrutti la“long tail” della moda.Milano, 5 maggio 2011 – Si è ufficialmente aperto oggi il LAB, nuova iniziativa di Modavera.it per aiutare I giovani talenti che desiderano aprirsi una strada nel mondo della moda. Secondo Marco Ottolini, direttore di Modavera.it, “il LAB è una risposta dal basso a un mondo della moda blindato, impermeabile alle spinte creative dei tanti giovani che hanno buone idee, ma che non sanno come realizzare e portare al successo. Noi mettiamo a disposizione i nostri spazi e il tempo dei nostri professionisti per aiutare chiunque abbia una buona idea a renderla realtà e avviarla in un mercato estremamente competitivo”.
Il LAB di Modavera si propone da un lato come facilitatore per realizzare progetti e prodotti e dall’altro come vetrina per la loro commercializzazione. Per progetti impegnativi dal punto di vista economico, il LAB ha già avviato una sperimentazione di finanziamento con logica di crowd funding per dare la possibilità a chiunque di poter realizzare il proprio progetto raccogliendo fondi da privati da ogni parte del mondo. “È lo stesso sistema usato negli Stati Uniti per realizzare inchieste giornalistiche e opere d’arte: noi crediamo si possa applicare anche al mondo della moda. Così si potranno proporre al mercato prodotti a prezzo contenuto ma di creatività e stile superiore, realizzando nei fatti la ‘long tail’ anche in un settore che ne è stato fino a ora privo”, spiega Ottolini.
Nel corso del primo incontro di oggi sono stati selezionati già due progetti che verranno realizzati nel corso dei prossimi mesi, entrambi con l’obiettivo di mettere in vendita i prodotti relativi, a partire dal mese di settembre prossimo. In un caso si tratta di costruire una campagna virale di promozione di una collezione di gioielli per la prossima stagione, mentre nel secondo si tratta di realizzare la collezione autunno/inverno di un giovane fashion designer.
Il LAB, oltre a essere uno spazio virtuale che aprirà i battenti il 23 maggio all’indirizzo http://lab.modavera.it, è un evento che ha luogo nello spazio fisico di via Abba 5 a Milano, tutti i primi giovedi del mese: il prossimo è già stato fissato per il 9 giugno, mentre quello di luglio avrà luogo il 7 luglio,sempre a partire dalle 18. Nel corso di questi incontri, diversi interpreti del mondo della moda porteranno la loro testimonianza, anche sotto forma di workshop. Nella giornata di oggi Elena Leone, che ha sfilato al Next Generation dell’ultima Fashion Week di Milano, ha parlato della sua esperienza. Nel prossimo appuntamento del 9 giugno verrà invece dato spazio a un workshop gratuito di fotografia in studio.

The Modavera LAB aims as a facilitator to carry out projects and products as a showcase for marketing. "It's the same system used in the United States to carry out investigations and journalistic works of art: we believe it can be applied also to the world of fashion. So we can offer the market at a reasonable price but of creativity and superior style, and to maintain it in the long run which has been lacking until now, "says Otto.
During the first meeting today two projects were already selected to be implemented over the coming months, both with the aim to sell related products, beginning from the month of September. In one case it is to build a viral campaign to promote jewelry collection for the upcoming season, while the second is to launch the autumn / winter collection of a young fashion designer.
The LAB, as well as being a virtual space which will open May 23 at is an event that takes place in Via Abba 5 Milano.ModaVera LAB will be Open every first Thursday in the month, the next events has already been set at 9 June , 7 July , 18 July . During these meetings, several performers of the fashion world will share their testimony, even in the form of workshops.Designer Elena Leone, who marched to the Next Generation in the last Fashion Week in Milan, spoke of her experience. in June 9 workshop will be free to studio photography.
