'Girl Panic' - Duran Duran 2011; a highly amusing, 'meta video' directed by Jonas Akerlund, styled by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. 
Staring Cindy Crawford as John Taylor, Helena Christensen as Roger Taylor, Eva Herzigova as Nick Rhodes, and Naomi Campbell as the band's front man Simon Le Bon [which means Yasmin Le Bon (Simon's wife) is left as an unnamed session guitarist*]. Saturated with references to the band's influential music video history, this debaucherous, nostalgic and multi-layered clip is an over-the-top, (note swarovski sponsorship) indulgent, and fun 10 minute epic.


Downsides: Naomi Campbell's unfortunately hideous attempt at a masculine haircut for the final scene.

We Love Fashion For Relief Catwalk Cannes 2011

The Supermodel Naomi Campbell uses her energy to do great charitable works through her Fashion for Relief fundraiser. Naomi Invited celebrity friends to strut down the catwalk in her  runway show on Monday (May 16). The A-list crowd took time at The 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival to help raise money for the Japanese Red Cross, which will aid victims of the tragic earthquake and tsunami that recently devastated Japan.

Naomi was fierce for her runway appearances, in gowns by Yves Saint Laurent, Marchesa and Alexander McQueen.

Jet-Set Jewelry at the 2010 Venice Film Festival

The 2010 Venice Film Festival kicked off yesterday with a smattering of parties, premieres and pretty people. And while the well-known celebrities are always a big draw (Natalie Portman and Jessica Alba are already turning heads), my favorite film festival pastime is gawking at the jet-set jewelry on miscellaneous red carpet passersby.

Here are some of my favorites so far. But before we take that journey, pause if you will to witness Naomi Campbell's emerald engagement ring from her Russian billionaire boyfriend, Vladimir Doronin spotted at the "Miral" premiere today. Wowza!
