Red Lips & Leopard Print OOTD

Ello my lovelies!

I wanted to just drop off a quick outfit post before the weekend.

I went through a full on case of January blues recently, was mega run down and just *meh*. But after a Saturday spent dolling myself up and indulging in a bit of me time, I soon started to feel myself again.

I honestly don't know what came over me, I have heard on many occasions about S.A.D (Seasonal Affective Disorder) a condition which affects people during the winter and I'm not saying I have it but I can seriously understand the reasoning behind it and how the long dark months can affect individuals. I recently have been going to work early in the morning in the dark, come home late at night in the dark, eat and go to sleep and repeat cycle, its so repetitive and mundane that it really has sapped the life out of me. These things aren't to be overlooked I suppose, quality of life and your mental state are really important things to look after. I am a firm believer in a healthy mind! I don't want to feel like that again, horrible horrible feeling!

So anyway, a couple of Saturdays ago, I threw on some leopard print, slicked my lips with a bit of red and off I went for a bit of retail therapy! It's amazing what red lippy can do for confidence, actually it's amazing what confidence can do for red lippy! I always find it's one of those really bold statements that says 'I'm out to tackle the world, and no one is going to stop me!' and that's exactly how I felt....

These pictures were taken in an Evans changing room when I went for a bra fitting (big mistake!). But that's a whole other story!

Right now I need to go and get my skates on and get ready to haul my ass down to London for some Plus London 2 shiz!

My lesson today? Look after yourselves lovelies! Your mind is as, if not more important than your matter! Stay beautiful!

Big Love

Taking Some Deep Breaths.........oh and an OOTD!

Evening guys!

This is just a little post to say, I am still around but I am, to be honest, totally run down. I don't feel like I have much to contribute at the minute because I'm feeling so rubbish. Mainly just work, but life in itself is just a bit *Meh* I suppose.

There are some really great things going on over the next month, so I'll have lots to talk about as soon as I am over my January blues and I am feeling decent enough to actually put some decent clothes on, I'll be back on full form I'm sure!

Whilst I disappear, here are a few pics from an outfit I wore last Sunday for loungin', shopping and walking the Gizmo dog! P.S this is the H&M scarf that I made Lauren hunt the Oxford St store with me for! Cheers love!

OOTD Feeling Tweet! New Look Inspire Swallow Dress!

Evenin' lovelies!

So, it's nearly Xmas and we're all spending our hard earned pennies on all those lovely gifts to make our loved ones happy, well, kind of. I had a little splurge yesterday in my current favourite place to shop, New Look Inspire. I don't really know what came over me? Oh actually, yeh I do, pretty dresses and cute shoes on sale, what self respecting girl can resist?

So I purchased the really cute Swallow Print Dress and I am a little bit in love with it. I wore it out last night for some Kissmas drinks with my Grand Theatre crew, little bit sad that I didn't get chance to take it dancing as it was a school night and I did have to be at work at 8am this morning, so it made a swift exit with me after 2 bottles of wine and lots of giggles!

I was a bit rushed for time getting ready as I felt a bit guilt ridden after treating myself, so I promptly went and bought pressies for other people, see I am a good girl really! So I ended up throwing the dress on with black tights, my fave, ultra comfy New Look suede wedges, the belt nicked off my other recent New Look Inspire purchase as seen here and some old accessories I've had for agessssssssssss!!! Looks alright I reckon, what you think? (Please excuse the outgrowing Gelux nails, getting them redone this weekend!)

I also picked up 2 pairs of cute flats in wide fit for bargain prices this cute red patent bow pair and a nude pink pair with sparkly toes which I can't seem to find online but I will get pics for ya!

I also recently mentioned on my Twitter that I was after a pair of leopard print leggings. I found a pair a fab leopard jeggings in the Inspire range, I had previously noticed them online but disregarded them as I thought they would never fit me in the waist, but I was surprised when I spotted them in store and tried them on to find that they are super stretchy, a great print, but unfortunately they aren't fitted enough in the leg for me, they fit perfectly at the waist in a size Uk 26 (which I am blatantly larger than) but they are too baggy in the thigh and leg, so I am going to be returning them :( *booooooooooo* just goes to show how diverse we all are in shape!

Anyway, it's nearly 11pm on Christmas eve, eve! I am currently bopping around my kitchen to random tunes including this little number that has got me right in the festive mood! My 2011 Christmas tune pick, The Waitresses, Christmas Wrapping! Enjoy.....

Yours Clothing Playing Dress up!

Hi Lovelies!

Hope you are all having fabulous weekends! In usual Naomi Sunday style I am nursing a hangover, but instead of being totally hopeless I had a bit of a playing dress up sesh in some awesome pieces that the lovely guys at Yours Clothing sent me to review! I chose 2 gorgeous maxi dresses, how could I not, Yours never fail to produce a fabulous maxi so it was the good and proper thing to do in this instance! I also asked to try a pair of palazzo's as I am still on the hunt for my perfect pair, and last but not least a cross over style Kate Middleton style dress!

The
floral palazzo's I chose are fab, comfy, cool and so on trend! They're a bit long on me though unfortunately (im 5,4), I am actually wearing 4 inch wedge heels in these pics and they are still hiding my feet, but I love them all the same! It was nice to find a pair that actually had a lovely comfy elasticated waistband too, I've tried a couple of pairs recently from Simply Be and have been majorly disappointed at the zip and button closure as I felt it ruined the fit and the flowyness of them, so they were sent back, but these from Yours are superb!

The leopard maxi, oh my, I am a sucker for a leopard print, as I have mentioned once or twice before, if Bette Lynch had a short, fat, brunette, non-smoking sister, it'd be moi! For real! This dress, I love so hard, but it really is a bit long on myself, and even with my humongous boobies there was still extra room to get another small pair in with me! HAHA!

The tribal maxi I just adore, it's so me! I love love love! Lots of the old cleavage on show in this little number though!

And finally, the blue cross over dress....WINNING! I haven't taken any pics of this, because I am going to save it for when I don't have massive hangover face as I look a right old mess. As soon as I have dressed this bad boy up and the sambuca has finally left my veins, I will get pics, but seriously ladies, this dress is fab! Get on it, and please, Yours, make it in red!!!! So hot!

Also, currently loving the new model Yours is using at the moment, how adorable is she!

Anyway, going to find some munch and have a disco nap! Let me know what you think of the items and if you are looking to indulge in a bit of retail therapy head over to Yours! They are one of my particular fave places to shop just recently, they're stuff is affordable, in a good range of sizes and is very on trend!

Big Love Guys!

Leopard lust OOTD!

Well hello there! It has been a short while since I last posted but I am back now and I promise to be better this time around, honest!

My life has been so busy over the past couple of weeks and Ive been trying my best to cover all bases with everyone and everything but sometimes i
t doesn't always work the way you would like it to, ya know? I sadly left my job at the theatre a couple of weeks ago, which was extremely sad and totally unexpected and unplanned but I realise now that it is for the best. Luckily the people I worked with there were not just work colleagues but amazing friends whom wont be getting rid of me anytime soon! In fact, I got to spend Saturday night with them to celebrate the lovely Katie's 21st (+VAT) birthday! I knew I had a busy weekend planned and to go with it all I had a bit of an online shopping spree! Included in my purchases were a fab pair of drapey utility trousers from Evans, which I will post about soon, promise! And what I want to show you in this post, a stunning leopard print wrap dress from ASOS Curve.

I have had my eye on this dress since it was released on the site. I am an absolute sucker for a bit of leopard print, I swear to god, if there wasn't about 50 years difference between us, and the fact that she is totally fictional, I am pretty sure Bette Lynch and I were seperated at birth!

I have to admit, as much as I have loved ASOS Curve, unfortunately just recently I have found that everything I order has ended up being sent back, the main reason being poor sizing. No 2 garments have been consistently si
zed, I feel, which has been a real shame. I honestly do not feel that the garments being modelled on girls whom aren't even big enough to fit into the size dimensions of the range is helpful at all either. Considering the range starts at a size 20 and goes up to a size 26, seeing a dress exclusive to the range modelled on a girl no bigger than a size 12 and 5,11 isn't a true representation of the range. I understand why ASOS has to do this but in that case I think Id rather see it on a mannequin or dummy or something. Im also aware that the industry isnt full of perfectly sized plus size models so its a lose lose scenario I suppose. Anyway, back to the item that I haven't had to send back! Woooooooooo! Here is a pic of me in the wrap, leopard print dress, taken last night dancing away to cheesy 90's music and downing ridiculous amounts of wine....

ASOS Curve Leopard Print Wrap Dress - £35 (on sale for £28 atm!!)

I adore this dress, the jersey material is so lightweight it falls perfectly and the cut, for me was just stunning! I teamed it up with some really sweet red kitten heels from Primark, a little red handbag from Peacocks and a lovely gold enamel heart necklace, also from Primark which I picked up from the Oxford Street branch when I went along to Plus London. I am sometimes prone to going a bit OTT on super colour coordination but I just couldn't help myself this time! I also slicked on some red lippy and went mental with 2 pairs of ultra glam lashes (total lash whore!).
My only criticisms of the dress, and something for you to take note of girls if you do order it is that the actual wrap closure of the dress is just 2 little plastic press studs and a little bit of a tie, which I was a little bit worried about coming undone. I had a friend on dress watch for me as I was worried about being exposed at any given moment! LOL! I cant wait to wear the dress again though and experiment with some other outfit ideas with it! So on this occassion ASOS, you did good! Keep em coming!

Anyway, I am off for now, but I will be back to post some more ASAP! I have an OOTD post with those drapey utility bottoms and I have been proper lusting over some super costume jewellery rings (A certain Miss Amy Simons fault!!!!)

But for now, night night lovies!!!!

BIG LOVE
<3
