This week in my life...

I said I would do a daily life sort of post, well it's a whole week in one post basically because I don't do enough interesting things in one day to make a complete blog entry haha! Hmm I still feel this is such a cheap post...XD

Anyway, as I mentioned this was my last week of classes. I went to school really scrubby on Tuesday night but we got out like 2.5 hours early so why bother?

Hey btw. Why does no body say scrub or scrubby anymore? I was listening to my mom's new Glee presents the Warblers, and in the song Bills they use "scrub". When's the last time you heard scrub? haha!

My poupeegirl got fancier this week though. I changed my poupee's haircolor after a year or so during this recent price-down campaign.

From red to pink. I wanted to stay in the red color family^^

Previously I mentioned trying on prom dresses, but before that I had gone to H&M and tried on some regular clothes. Just for fun I guess. They had lots of great things, especially for blogger style.

Tried on the above shirts and shorts. I was trying out adult style, its cute, but not with my padded bra. For me, I prefer having a small chest with fashion!

Ok now let's play a game...

My friend brought me this recently (Not this week but close enough).
Can you guess what it is?

And just so you know how boring my life is, I will now descend into another gets marathon....

Abstract floral skirt and black butterfly sleeve top with detail neckline

Super oversize sweater and face graphic tank (yes I ended up getting it)

Two maxi dresses (I have 4 now, it's enough I think XD)

Turquoise necklace, sunglasses, leopard headband

Rings!

As you can see I'm trying to bring more adult items to my wardrobe. I have to sell my more youthful items now to make space...XD

Well I spent today shopping and packing for my Cali trip on Monday. Can't wait to go, but I'm meeting the DIAMOND gals so I have to look good *stress* XDDD

Line we love TALLULAH Fall 2011-2012 by COVHERlab

Designer Marco Grisolia studied the Artistic maturity at the Istituto Statale d'Arte of Cetraro (Cs),he finished two years of painting at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and did a course at Istituto Burgo .
Marco collaborated with style office Forall Group (for Pal Zileri), LAPS Group of Florence , Sartoria Mercalli of Rome, Maison Paro ,Designer freelance pr Betasix Records and made costume for Mario Mieli Homosexual Cultural Circle.
in 2010 he launched his own brand  COVHERlab by Marco Grisolia.

His latest collection was  TALLULAH Fall 2011-2012 ; A tale of volumes that emerge, as if from the earth, with epileptic shapes that bend the material in playful crumpled structures affixed to the dresses with a firm yet evolved simplicity in a natural and in-the-wild baroque. Agave and its ability to spread in sinuous and infectious masses, the photography of Frederick Fontenoy with its snagged, spectral, accelerated metamorphoses, the colors of Vilhelm Hammershoi and the turn of the century Japanese Proustism that sustain the entire collection that seems to live in an intense and all encompassing identification with the natural world made of archaic forms that are surprisingly contemporary.

The collection reveals an aptitude for immediate constructions, complex in its depth yet easy to understand and to wear, leaving uncovered a heart or a soft and hidden stomach, pluvial, that gathers and merges a whole series of indomitable suggestions, almost primordial, in an inspired modernity, conceptual never surgical. A quasi-literal exoticism, a bestiary of plants and animals written with fabric, evolved into Amazonian baroque-isms that finally settle down, at the zenith of their storytelling, by simply being worn.

May magazine Picks!

Hi there again finally! Sorry about not updating, but today was my last day of classes and now I don't have anymore classes or assignments ever. All that's left is my thesis. Got time to blog now, and gotta plan my travel and work plans^^

I was quite busy today finishing up with the semester, but I would feel bad if I posted nothing again. Luckily I have my May magazine Picks ready!

This month I apparently didn't find as much as last month, and its just one photo per mag. But there's lots of cute outfits despite.

I looked at Blenda, but it was a bit too "solid American" as they call it and Popsister is just a too Harajuku for me. This is enough inspiration anyways haha!

Hope everyone will have a great weekend!

Golf Fore Africa Raises Money For AIDS Relief

I am a golfer as well as someone with a deep interest in Africa, so when I heard about Golf Fore Africa, I had to get on the bandwagon to spread the word about this excellent cause.
Betsy King, whose Hall of Fame career produced 36 LPGA tournament wins including six major championships, has dedicated her life to helping others in need. In 2007, King founded Golf Fore Africa to heighten awareness of the terrible plight of children who were orphaned as a result of the devastating AIDS pandemic that is so prevalent throughout much of the African continent. The year before, King had made a trip to Africa with the World Vision organization and was deeply affected by the suffering and desperate living conditions she encountered.

Golf Fore Africa is dedicated to bringing hope and support to African children who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by AIDS. Funding is made available to a wide range of critical projects necessary to improve the quality of life, such as access to medical care, education, agricultural assistance and clean water resources.

On May 23rd, King will host a limited field event at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford, New York, to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the communities in Africa that her charity supports. King will be joined by an impressive list of active LPGA golfers including Jiyai Shin, who was No. 1 in the 2010 Rolex Rankings, Brittany Lincicome, Stacey Lewis, Katherine Hull and Azahara Munoz, LPGA rookie of the year in 2010.

The per person entry fee is $3,000, which includes breakfast, lunch and a clinic with Betsy and the LPGA pros. Each participant will have the opportunity to play with three different pros.
GlenArbor, designed by the legendary Gary Player, enjoys a well-deserved reputation as one of the finest private clubs in an area known for some of the country’s most historic and iconic golf clubs. GlenArbor welcomes the Golf Fore Africa intimate event, particularly as the club supports the improvement of educational and living opportunities for underprivileged children.

For more information regarding playing spots in this exceptional event for a worthwhile cause, please contact Debbie Quesada at (408) 284-5818 or debbie@golfforeafrica.org.

Line We Love Miryaki Fall 2011-2012

MIRYAKI was founded in 2009 with the vision of two young designers: Mia Vilardo and Riccardo Polidoro ,Mia was born in Sicily studied in the Istituto Marangoni and she worked with Marc Jacobs. Riccardo Polidoro comes from Veneto and he attended Istituto Europeo di Design and he worked with Dolce&Gabbana .

Mia Vilardo and Riccardo Polidoro met by a chance, when they were both working as costume-makers for a well-known club in Milan. The feeling was immediate, so that, even before finishing their studies, they were already talking about collaborating together. Thanks to their history and their different past they created an alchemy of art and culture unique and very bold designs.

The Brand literally embodies the meeting between the North and the South of Italy that flows into a melodic symbiosis between the two creative souls.

Just one year on from their debut, the label achieved the first results. Miryaki won the Clam prize at Mittelmoda The Fashion Award, held in Gorizia in July 2010, and in September their collection was showcased at Milan's fashion week alongside with the designs of the other winners of the contest, at the Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, drawing the attention of the specialized press and international buyers.

Tailoring, sharpness and dream: these are the key words for Miryaki's creations, all rigorously handmade by a female team of Sicilian tailors, known and appreciated for their artisan work very close to traditional practise.
