A Serbian national, Tatjana Tatalovic was born in 1975 in a region of Eastern Europe with a long tradition for arts, crafts and fashion excellence, with a family heritage whose foundation is the textile industry. She sharpened her textile skills and exceptional eye for detail, building her own unique fashion signature which has been developing a growing reputation since 2001. The Eastern European transition to commercialism within the last 10 years is only now allowing this exceptional talent the opportunity to showcase her creativity.

Tatajna's collection, the SS 2010 “TATA” won the first prize given by Elle Magazine for the most significant fashion collection of the 2009 Belgrade Fashion Week. The critical response from the Belgrade Fashion Week has opened new horizons for Tatjana and her “TATA” brand and has attracted industry interest which offers a bright future for this ambitious and cutting edge designer.
As a painter and art historian, Tatjana injects passion and emotion into her designs, following the fabric’s texture and shape, colors and softness. Her silhouettes are feminine and sophisticated, yet artistic and edgy. A unique handmade touch is found in each collection, incorporated into stitches and drapery where the industrial fabrics are re-created for a fresh and unique product. Using mainly natural fabrics such as cotton, silk and linen, Tatjana reinvents their structure and texture by using stitching techniques that creates a complete new fabric form. Out of new, yet natural materials, a spirit which is at once modern, precious and fresh is given to the clothing that can be worn day or night
