Julia Roberts Rocks 'Barely There' Bling Trend

Is it me? Or has celebrity jewelry fashion dropped completely off the radar this month? I've been searching high and low for big summertime stars to wow me with their bauble choices at various movie premieres and the like...and well...it just ain't happening.

And then it occurred to me. Maybe (gasp!) less is more?

Take Julia Roberts at her Larry Towne premiere in LA this week. Nevermind the on-trend menswear look (which I find 'safe' and 'snore-worthy') - but take a gander at the jewelry choice. Simple diamond studs and a three-strand emerald wrap necklace by Beladora.com. Easy. Breezy. Beautiful.

Or how about Jenna Elfman at the same event? Just a splash of a  yellow gold drop earring and she's good to go.

And Katie Holmes sported similar 'tiny treasure' style at the LA Film Festival in small pearl earrings and a delicate yellow gold 'S' pendant (for daughter Suri, I suppose). Sweet.

So while we've all been starved for a lower jaw-drop moment since the Cannes Film Festival over a MONTH ago - I have to admit: I'm OK with diamonds on the down-low every once in a while.

Just DON'T make it a habit, Hollywood.

PEARLS

What's in a pearl? No, I mean quite literally, what is in a pearl? Virtually all pearls today are cultured, meaning that they have been started by man in some way. One hundred and fifty years ago there were only natural pearls. Divers would go into the water pull up a bunch of oysters and, if they were lucky, find a few pearls. But in the 1920's the world's major natural pearl producing regions were fished out and production of natural pearls basically came to a halt. As it happens, at about that same time, a couple of Japanese gentlemen happened to perfect a method to produce a pearl by inserting a bead nucleus into an oyster and having the growth form around it. These were the world's first salt water cultured pearls.

For quite some time the size was somewhat limited because the oysters that grew in the colder waters around Japan weren't large enough to produce much of anything over 8 mm round. However over some time it was recognized that in the South Seas there were much larger oysters available that could grow much larger pearls.

So what's in a cultured salt water pearl? Actually a round bead nucleus made out of shell makes up approximately 95% of the total pearl size. The actual pearl growth is usually quite thin (and got thinner over the years as production time was decreased due to demand). Consequently most of the pearl is actually starter material.

Natural freshwater pearls had been known about for quite some time too. Actually the Mississippi River produced a large number of pearls over the years, although overfishing reduced the yield dramatically over time. In the 1960's the Japanese however, also figured out a way to produce freshwater pearls by inserting mantle tissue from another mollusc into a mussell instead of a bead. Many of you probably remember (or still own) the rice shaped pearls that were produced in some rather large quantities over the years by the Japanese. I always enjoyed using freshwater pearls because they were unusual shapes making them far more interesting in rings, pendants and earrings than a traditional round pearl.

However as always time marches on and things change. Japanese labor got quite expensive. Some of the best freshwater pearl producing lakes in Japan got too polluted. So the Japanese exported their pearl expertise to China. China is a huge nation and they have a tendency to do things in a large way. Once they began producing freshwater pearls they began producing so many (and so cheaply) that they flooded the market, prices plummeted and quality suffered dramatically. In the meanwhile however, the Japanese salt water cultured pearl production of round pearls was falling rapidly.

So the freshwater producers saw a new area opening up and began to attempt to produce perfectly round freshwater pearls, which they achieved. Initially only available in very small sizes, over the years they boosted the size until they were able to produce perfectly round freshwater pearls in the same size range as the Japanese cultured pearls had been.

And then they began to look at other, alternative production methods, which brings us to the picture above (apologies as always---it's my own photo). The picture is of two strands of bead nucleated freshwater pearls I just purchased. In other words they are now putting round bead nuclei into freshwater mussels and producing pearls. Admittedly they are baroque (odd shaped) at the moment but it is pretty obvious where they are heading. Of course, I have always liked the odd shapes so these are working fine for me. But someday they will have perfectly round freshwater bead nucleated pearls and I'll have to begin the search for something else.

In the meantime, these two strands are very reasonably priced and way, way more interesting than those boring round pearls your grandmothers used to wear. Come on by and see them (or better yet send your significant other in with a credit card in hand)!

Celebrating my friend's birthday!

Wow, its a summer day today, how sad! My makeup feels like its melting and I just want to lay on the floor and bemoan my situation haha. Luckily until this day most days were cool (though rainy) and my friend's birthday day was quite comfortable for going out!

My outfit for the day. My friend said I looked more gyaru so yay for improvement? haha

This was the first time I could celebrate my friend's birthday with him. Last year I was in Japan for May, July and August, missing the month of June entirely so there was so chance for me to be part of the celebrations.

Personally my birthday celebrations/parties have been getting smaller/tapering off since my sweet 16th and I would guess that's the same for many people. The best parties are when you are younger.

In the line to buy tickets at Toho Cinema in Roppongi Hills

I suggested a movie would be fun for a birthday party, especially in Japan its so enjoyable because people actually keep their mouths shut and the food is interesting haha. I was able to use my university ID to get the student discount yes!

We saw X-men First Class, and I think it's quite good!

The type of snacks you can buy at the movie theater, argh, hungry!

Saw a Cars 2 preview, oh kinda a sad screen cap TT

Sadly there were some Filipina women behind me laughing at really inappropriate times and talking. There were also some Asian-american preteens (I think American from the accent) also talking. Thankfully just 4 people out of the whole theater.

Going to Donki in Roppongi!

Man they had these poor live newt thingies (plus marimo) for sale TT

After the movie ended we went to Donki because I wanted to buy some off-brand crocs. I can't walk to/in the stations with my high heels so I need comfy shoes to slip into. It was fun looking there as usual, but I had to buy men's size, how sad. Then we went for purikura, because I have to purikura.

My new ugly crocs, atleast white doesn't look too bad

This is the machine we used, it's ok

Oh my god, kitty you so cute but not worth 2,000$ DX

We also stopped by a pet store, because my friend likes animals. Luckily I got this one shot before getting scolded haha! The price of animals is so ridiculous in Japan, how do people afford them?

The end of the birthday day of course included cake! You can't have a bday without it ^^ We found this cute cake at a local supermarket and since it was later at night, it had a discount! Numbers censored for my friend's privacy.

I hope my friend has a good birthday, everyone deserves to have a nice day on the day they were born!

OOTD Style369 Stripey Skater dress

Hi Guys!

How the devil are you all?! I can say that I am well and truly in recovery mode from my EPIC weekend of Butlins 80's crazy-ness! I arrived home at around 11.30pm last night after 5 days of awesome retro fun for my beloved Miranda-Face's 30th Birthday! I promise I will post all the pics from that very shortly, they are absolute gems! By the way, my 'Charbie' outfit was all good fun! Can't wait to show you!

So anyway, last week I made a very naughty purchase after seeing Style369 post about one of their new in items. The Stripe Skater Dress caught my eye immediately and I knew I had to own it. I was hoping so hard that the sun would be shining on my weekend away at Butlins Bognor Regis for me to play dress up in it and create a little nautical inspired outfit of the day! I teamed it up with a pair of black leggings, a red cardigan and some pointy red flats, what do you think?!

Stripe Skater Dress - £23 Style369
Red Cardigan - Primark (Last year)

Pointy Red Flats - Peacocks (A few years ago)

Enamel Heart Necklace - Primark

Please, enjoy the pictures of me dancing around like an absolute loon, I had been sat in the pub all day, in glorious sunshine, consuming copious amounts of vodka to ease the night before's hangover and to get me well and truly oiled for the impending night of being Charbie! Anyway, the tunic is a lovely jersey fabric which is cut very generously! I know Evans also now have this on sale and a few ladies are a bit peeved that it is another item that they are stocking which is only sized up to a UK28, but seriously girls do not let that worry you, I wear clothes from sizes 26-30 (I am never the same size in any 2 places!) and was worried that when I ordered this in a 26-28 that it would be clingy. I was so surprised when it arrived at how generously it was cut and the fact that I still had room! It would easily fit anybody of a size 30, so give it a go! From the looks of it this is selling really well, so I wouldn't hesitate on picking this one up ladies, it'll be an item that lives in your wardrobe forever as the nautical trend never goes out of fashion!

Anyway, Im OFF to go back to recovery for the rest of the night but Ill be back v.soon with the pics from the rest of my weekend!!!

BIG LOVE!
XOXOX

Jewelry Gift Guide for New Moms

Jewelry is often the go-to gift of choice for those 'BIG LIFE' occasions: weddings, anniversaries, graduations, it's Wednesday... But there is one present-producing event that often gets the shaft when it comes to shiny things: giving birth.

As a new mom myself, I surely appreciated the deluge of diapers and the like. But do you think jewelry-loving new moms like Rachel Zoe should have to settle for nipple cream and a bottle brushes? I think not! And neither should any of you other mommies out there.

So in honor of all that hard labor, ladies, I've collected a few of my favorite gift options for new moms. Just click on the heading or image for buying options and more info.

(A sidenote: #1MOM pendants should be banned from NOT JUST our jewelry boxes, gift givers - but the earth.)

1. Pink and Blue Gemstones:

If this seems a bit 'on the nose' - think again. Gems like the pink sapphire or aquamarine could remind moms of their gurgling bundles of joy - or could also work as just a fun fashion piece.

Birthstone Jewelry:

Always a crowd-pleaser, moms will love to have birthstone gems from the month their babies were born. Especially if it's an April baby (diamonds, anyone?).

Mom/Child:

This traditional jewelry silhouette never goes out of style. And you can find some options with birthstones already in the design.

Charm Bracelets:

What better time to start a charm bracelet, right? You can get baby shoe charms, birthday charms, initial charms - the list is endless. I'm waiting on the epidural needle charm to make mine complete.

Teething Jewelry:

Carrying the benefit of both 'Form' and 'Function', teething jewelry gifts are a fashionable way to get jewelry in a new mom's wardrobe during those grabby first months. And if there's a patent for drool-proof clothing? I'd like to add that to my list too.

So let's get out there and make us some shiny, happy mommies, gift givers. Are there any moms out there who have other jewelry ideas they'd like to add? Weigh in!

Exclusive Interview Kyle Anderson Senior Accessories Editor Elle

Every once in a while, we get to meet people that change our life, our perception of things, who stir a new passion in us and awaken fresh goals and dreams. Kyle Anderson  is definitely one of those people for me.
Growing up in a small  town in Chicago didn't stop him from exploring the world of Fashion  and living his life to the fullest.

Kyle Anderson happens to be The  Senior Accessories Editor At Elle Magazine .What is most inspiring about Kyle is his ability to stay humble, regardless of the scale of his success as an  Accessories Editor and that’s something I find truly remarkable and refreshing.

I hope you enjoy reading this up-close and personal interview with Kyle Anderson , as much as I enjoyed conducting it.

UD: I know it is hard to put into words. But how would you describe your style?

KA: I love anything with military and rock n’ roll inspiration. I really like where there is a mix of high and low. Maybe used military pants with a prada sweater. Or a new Burberry Prorsum leather jacket with vintage ripped jeans. "When there is something dirty there should be something clean". I don’t like to wear one major designer piece with another major designer piece. If its a Prada runway sweater it should be with no brand pant and vice versa. Almost always my shirt is a big designer and my pant is from like zara or AllSaints or vintage.

UD: Did you always want to be an Accessories Editor or is it something that you’ve discovered as you were trying other careers?

KA: When I was growing up I always thought I wanted to be a fashion designer and live in NYC. I always dreamed of that. But after I moved to NYC I took a class at FIT and realized designing RTW isnt at all what im interested in. I also at the same time started interning at Esquire magazine. I knew right away that at that point the only thing I would ever want to be is an editor. I later interned at every type of magazine. From Esquire to COSMOgirl, Marie Clarie, Vogue and ELLE. I also did freelance work assisting stylists on photoshoots and later did freelance assistant work at Vanity Fair and COSMOPOLITAN and then ELLE. I was supposed to freelance at ELLE for 90 days but quickly I got hired and it was really for me a lifelong dream come true.

I'm interested in everything having to do with magazines. Editing, styling, layouts, beauty, fashion, accessories. I'm a Senior Accessories Editor now and ive been working at ELLE for 6 years. But my dream is to be a Creative Director. I want to be put my mark on some magazine and make it sort of my own. My style my dream my vision.

UD: Women everywhere think of your job as glamorous, inspirational and filled with designer freebies, cool parties and exotic overseas travel destinations. Is it?

KA:
Haha, Well in some aspects yes absolutely. We get the opportunity to do all of those things. Since I started working at ELLE ive gone on tripes to Spain, Russia, Milan, England, Germany, France and Sweden. I attend fashion week in Milan, NY, Stockholm and Berlin every season. Yes we do receive a lot of gifts. But the things we receive and the things that people think we receive is probably quite different. If you think about it im sure if you work in a different type of industry u would receive a small holiday gift from the other companies your work at. It just happens that we work with designers.
For parties yes. Living in NYC and working in fashion you have the opportunity to attend every type of party imaginable. Sometimes we are too busy to attend but Ive met a lot of great people and since this job isnt really a 9-5 job its more like a 24-7-365 it has become that my best friends are bloggers, editors, stylists, models and photographers. So when I go to the fashion parties they are all my friends there.
For my work, I like to say its 75 percent physical and emotionally stressful work. Its really really really hard work and everything we do needs to be done as quickly as humanly possible. Sometimes I think normal people could Not work under this pressure and short deadlines. I always say you have to be a little crazy to be able to work in this industry and be successful and at least survive. But with the hard work and stress and pressure there are amazing opportunities to meet and spend time with every designer in the world. Ive met almost every major designer from Tom Ford to Riccardo Tisci to Alber Elbaz and Michael Kors. Just to name a few. For me they are like meeting rock stars. They are absolute geniuses.

UD:  Is there a fashion Icon whose style you love to watch? Who and why?

KA: These days I think no. I am more influenced by past icons. I am very inspired these days by Madonna's music videos from the 80s. There is so much great fashion there. And I can see their influence on a lot of designers especially Dolce and Gabbana. I love her and I love dolce. Im also influenced by other musicians since I love rock n’ rool style. I love Blondie, and other 80s rockers. A lot of inspiration comes from characters in movies. I love Faye Dunaway in Bonnie and Clyde, Rita Hayworth in Gilda, Vivien Leigh in Gone with the wind, Sharon stone in Casino, and many many more. Even if its not my style and im not inspired to recreate their style I love the way that they are confident and love fashion. Clearly Scarlett ohara loves fashion, Bonnie in Bonnie and Clyde's style is effortless but clearly she has some major fashion going on in her own way. Or look at Mia Farrow as Daisy buchannan in The Great Gatsby. Shes is amazing. Its just her lounging around the house but shes so put together, effortless, shes her own person, I love how she loves fashion.

UD:   Name a very well dressed celebrity that always gets it right.

KA: I havae to think about this. I think Aleksander Skarsgard is very cute and always looks great. Sometimes he wears cheap Henleys like American Apparel and sometimes with something great like a Gucci leather jacket. For girls? Hmm..its really tough. I literally just turned to the jewelry editor who sits next to me and she said she had no one really that is great these days. I think for now we are searching it used to be Mary-kate olsen like 4 years ago. She was MAJOR. The new It bag the crazy furs, the Balenciaga runway boots, the fine jewelry chunky vintage rings the big vintage sunglasses. She was a woman obsessed with fashion. These days I don’t know. Everyone seems to be slacking a bit.

UD:  You have had a successful career As an Accessories Editor, What inspired you to get involved in this business?

KA: Growing up, my best friends mom was obsessed with clothing and shopping. I think she had a big influence on me loving clothes as much as I do. She put a real importance on buying the right clothes or shoes or bag.

Another big influence that I have had since working in the industry is our former fashion director, Nina Garcia. Ive never seen someone besides myself get as excited as she gets over a pair of jeans, or a Prada bag or a Gucci boot. When we would have run-throughs for our stories in the magazine or our shopping guide she would know exactly what she liked. We have a very similar style. We always like the same things. I really enjoyed working with her and she has influenced me a lot and taught me everything I know.

UD: Which fashion shows excite you the most?
KA:I love Alexander wang and marc jacobs in NY. In Milan I love to see Prada and Dolce & Gabbana. I love the brand of Balmain although with the new designer im not sure what it will be like. I love louis vuitton as well. I think marc jacobs puts on a great show.

UD:   Were there any trends/pieces that particularly stood out for you this season?

KA:I love the white fur coat in the Ferragamo runway. I love the silver choker in the michael kors runway. I love the isabel marant fringe boots, I love the alexander wang black fur and leather biker coat, I love the turqoise blue fur scarf in the gucci runway, I love ANYTHING TOM FORD. His FW collection lookbook is MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR. Every look every accessory even the hair and makeup is perfection. I love his statemetn jewelry, fur and croc bags, thigh high laser cut suede boots, fur coats. Love him. So sexy and luxe.

UD:  What is one piece that every man should have in his wardrobe?

KA: An expensive watch. Even if u are going swimming or going to the gym u should have a masculine classic watch like a Rolex.

UD: Should men Accessories more?

KA: For me I think no. it doesn’t hurt however to have a nice wallet, nice shoes, a nice watch. But im not a big fan of men wearing jewelry unless is one simple piece. One ring, or one neckalce or one bracelet. I only wear my rolex. I don’t look good wearing jewelry. But I do however, invest in very expensive wallet, bag, watch, shoes, just not jewelry so much.

UD: For the guys out there who are looking to upgrade their look, can you give them a tip on how to enhance their style?

KA: Definitely invest in a good watch. Even if you wear american apparel clothes and sweatpants at least please have a nice watch and a nice wallet. These are things u carry with u 365 days a year. Invest in nice ones they are always with you.

For watches, I love my Rolex, I never take it off. I also like Cartier or Bulgari watches.

For wallets Louis Vuitton wallets honestly last forever. I had one for 5 years and it looked brand new. Crazy. And I carry it everywhere.I also have a prada wallet. It lasts a few years and its very comfortable to use.

UD: What is your favorite eyewear line?

KA: My favorite is Tom ford. They look so sexy. Everyone loves them all of our stylists, etc. but I also love Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Dior Homme.

UD:  Are there any new lines/collections that you are really taking a liking to?

KA: I am always a big fan of Alexander wang although im not really sure if he is “new” also tom fords womens RTW line was launchd last year. We are obsessed with him her at elle. Although, again hes not “new”

UD: Let's cause some controversy...NY or LA?

KA: NY for sure. I can only live in NY. It has EVERYTHING. I love many other cities around the world, including LA, but NYC is the only city that I don’t get bored in after two days. I love LA I love the weather the beach I love MAXFIELD LA so much but I get bored after 2-3 days of lounging around and miss going to Barneys NY in NY and walking around soho.

UD: What do you like most about Elle Magazine?

KA: The freedom. We don’t have rules that we are required to shoot certain price limits or just advertisers like a lot of other magazines. Our editor in chief always wants us to just put the absolute coolest and best things we can find. We don’t have limits. Things can be $1 or $100,000 next to each other on the same page. I think that’s the way girls dress. On their wishlists can be a Piaget diamond watch but also they might be dying for a zara skirt and some vintage biker boots. People like what they like.

UD: If you could pick 3 fashion must-haves that every woman should own, what would they be?

KA: A classic bag either black birkin or black quilted chanel 2.55
A great expensive  watch. They last forever. Bulgari, cartier or rolex.
A great pair of pumps. Manolo, louboutin, jimmy choo, sergio rossi or giuseppe zanotti. Black and classic. Our styilsts love the high heel manolo classic black suede pointy toe pump.

UD: What can we expect next from Kyle Anderson?

KA: I'm launching a website to show people more of my life. Now im getting around 75-100 emails a day from people on facebook asking me about how I got started in fashion, what I like, what I want to buy next, that they saw my work in elle, that they saw my photo in a pic at a party. Id like to have one central website were people can learn about me, how I got started about my life with my friends and my life as an Editor.
UD:  who are your favorite photographers ?

KA: I think Mariano Vivanco and Damon baker both photographers from the agency of Jed Root in NYC are amazing and they are the next biggest iconic photographers in the world.
Another favorite is Steven Klein. I love the Givenchy story he just shot for Interview. Its beyond amazing.

UD: Who are you favorite models?

KA: My favorite model is Andrej Pejic. He is  a close friend and I think he is the first model in years that has become really more than a model. He is only been in this industry for one year and has tens of thousands of fans and has literally hundreds of fan pages devoted to him. He is very sweet and very normal but I think the industry hasn’t seen such a face as this maybe since the 80s supermodels. He is already an icon. I also like River Viiperi, Nils Butler, Sam Webb, Alexander Johansson and Paolo Anchisi.

UD:  Finally, Your Birthday is In Few Weeks; 19 July, What is Kyle Anderson Wish List?

KA: Im lucky enough to say I don’t want anything. People keep asking me what I want. I never though growing up I would say I don’t want anything. But I have everything I could ever want really. Maybe my website will be my new baby.

Kyle Anderson  favorite  Accessories  From FW 11:

1. Alexander wang clutchI've been obsessed with this cute little clutch since the first time I saw it walking down the runway at Alexander Wang.I love black skin, the tough silver faux zipper detail trim and the fur fox tails add the perfect touch of soft luxury.

2. Im always a fan of these little knuckle duster clutches that Alexander Mcqueen does every season. This season my favorite version is this corset laced up design with a variety of littl rings on the top including a wedding band. So cute and so tough. Why does a clutch have to be sparkly and girlie? Love this.

3. I love the black wolverine print on all of the Givenchy runway RTW and accessories this season. Im a big fan of this print and this cool patent bag.

4. Pamela love cuff My apartment is decorated witht all different kinds of crystal b oxes and bowls. I love this. Id love it if it were framed or if pam made a sculpture for me like this for my apartment. Its gorgeous and she is a genius!

5. Louis Vuitton oversized clutch with handcuff chain.Take this guy to any party and you will be the star of the room. Anything with a handcuff first of all, gets my attention. Sexy and luxe.

6. Gucci teal colored fur scarf. I fell in love with this in milan at the gucci showroom. I remember freaking out and having to try it on. Its so soft and the color is so beautiful. Its actually pretty big in person. It my favorite color.

7. Dolce & Gabbana sequin bag: This season is all about sequin. This dolce and gabbana sequin covered miss sicily bag would be so much fun to take out with your friends to dinner, parties and clubs. You would definitely be feeling fabulous.

8. Versace python boot in black: Imagine running around town in these. They are the perfect thing to wear in fall / winter with black tights and a little black dress. They would transition from day to evening because of the shiny python makes them a great option for evening dinners, work, clubs, date nights, sexy but rich.

9. Alexander wang fur shoes. These shoes are so much fun in person. I actually tried them on at the office. The fur ball is sort of HUGE and they are really a sort o f ‘shoe fantasy’

10. Salvatore ferragamo clutch: there was a big trend in menswear dressing for ladies this fW. This clutch which looks like its made out of some menswear suiting fabric is actually painted python. Its gorgeous in person and very luxe. I thin it woul dbe a cute with a mens inspired blazer or even a cute little black dress.

Tokyo Kawaii TV event & clothing wishlist

Thank you everyone who took the time to leave me feedback on yesterdays post inquiry on starting a shopping service. The positive reaction was great and I especially appreciated the suggestions and questions people had, that's so helpful.

Anyway, while trying to think of what to post today all I kept seeing in my galleries were food photos TT Ah my brain XD So in an attempt to avoid that I will just combined some recent things into an hopefully interesting entry ha!

This is what I wore to the event. I'm having fun trying new looks.

I posted about it on my FB back when it happened, but I thought I would talk about it more indepth here. On 6/18 NHK invited me to their special invite only Tokyo Kawaii TV event featuring gyaru model blogger Yunkoro!! It was very exciting to see her up close.

Walking to the NHK building

I walked from Yoyogi-hachiman station back behind Yoyogi park to NHK headquaters and got a day pass. I was one of the last ones to enter, and I feel I was disturbing because everyone looked at me as I found my seat TT

But it was very fun, Yunkoro made over a random girl in the audience into a beautiful gyaru with a resort-kei coordinate. There was also a singing preformance and prizes given to yunkoro's favorite coordinates of the audience.

Yunkoro in the center, no I wasn't the faraway, I was in the 3rd row center XDD (image via Kawaii.i)

The gifts everyone received for attending (though I can't really use the program fliers haha)

NHK gave out some branded goods and information about their upcoming shows and such. I got the cute Domo charm and pencil which I have been using alot already haha. I guess Taylor Momson was at the event, but I didn't see her, but I saw so many other cute girls XD

Kawaii.i has an album of some of the girls who attended. The gyaru with the super cute marine coordi won Yunkoro's top prize btw!

Yunkoro wore this coordinate to the event, cute coral colored dress and floral sandals!

Seeing Yunkoro was so inspiring! Her outfit was super darling, she was wearing it in the July issue of Egg also (see above). When I saw her I felt I want to be thinner and more stylish, so here are some items I have on my wishlist XD

Lace pants!! Yumetenbo has larger sizes but all sold out now TT

Lipservice scarf print cami, so elegant!

Lipservice wide knit cardi, to cover my arms in a cool way XD

Sneep Dip crochet topper, another nice way to cover up

GLAD NEWS USA Tshirt

There's a couple more, but those are the main things I really want to get. I wouldn't mind some other things from Egoist, d.i.a, more Glad News etc but it depends how good the sales get heh heh.

Milan Menswear Fashion Week D&G SS 2012

Milan Fashion week SS 2012  was defiantly the season of the patterns. Burberry scratched the surface, Prada dived deeper and now the ever-youthful D&G dives even deeper!

I always fall in love with every D&G collection, but this one literally reinvents all the others and creates a whole new revolution in the definition of denim, eccentric paisley patterns and shapes. The whole collection was characterized by the use of foulards as the central element in the making of blazers, bomber-jackets, T-shirts, trousers, shorts and accessories. The collection, new Proportions gave Both volume and fit to get  a softer and more relaxed style.

Hand-stitched mocassins in foulard-printed suede,Raffia or foulard-printed hats.Patterned shirts and shorts, combined with  foulards, denim, deconstructive denim, denim blazers, denim shirts ,washed linen , touches of leather and the most amazing loafers, bomber jackets, sunglasses and bags I've seen this season.

The models like  David Agbodji, Simon Nessman, Corey Baptiste and Sam Webb walked the runway on "Kiss Sex Machine remix"  Prince vs James Brown  wearing Foulard-printed swimming trunks.

This was my ultimate favorite Collection in Milan Fashion Week .
